Music is important for a better life as we age. As a MUSIC & MEMORY℠ certified facility, we help our residents who suffer from a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges to find renewed meaning and connection in their lives through the gift of personalized music. Volunteers, family caregivers and staff professionals have learned how to create and provide personalized playlists using iPods and related digital audio systems that enable those struggling with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive and physical challenges to reconnect with the world through music-triggered memories. Mary Queen of Angels earned their certification in January of 2016. To find out more visit MusicandMemory.org or donate an iPod to Mary Queen of Angels.
